Hello World,
On Saturday I went swimming. I can now easily swim the length of the big pool with my armbands but my little brother Jack thinks that he can just jump into the water without them. My Mummy says that one day he will be a little fish because he is fearless. I say he will be a big whale because he eats so much.
Even in the water Jack follows me around. Mum says I should look after him but she doesn’t understand. I bet she doesn’t spoil Daddy’s games.
On Sunday it was Father’s Day and I gave Daddy a card that I made with Amy. We went to visit Grandpa because he is Daddy’s daddy.
When I went onto Grandma’s terrace to feed the ducks below, I saw that her watering can was broken, so I mended it. She was so pleased that she said she would buy me a bike with stabilisers because she said that time was running out – it’s only 70 days to my big competition. I had to tell her that it was me who was running – me and some big boys – but she said that time races by, too. I asked her, when you boil an egg, who wins – the egg or the timer? She said neither – just the little boy who eats the egg. She said that most of the little children in India are starving and someone called Mother Teresa said that happiness is a bowl of rice. But all children prefer ice cream to eggs and rice. Silly Grandma!
Later I got hot and poor-poor so Mummy let me rest in the cool on the sofa with Teddy and watch CBeebies without Jack. Lucky me!
My name is Harry.
And I am 3 years old.
PS Vonny says that if you want to know more about the poor children you should visit http://vitalforchildren.org/
It’s closer than going to India!
